Decorations
Mark the party spot by hanging pink, purple, and pearly white balloons around the front of your home.
Place a banner over your front door saying, “Welcome to The Barbie® Dream House®.”
Make tissue paper flowers and butterflies, and place on your party walls.
Hang twinkle lights around the front entranceway to your party to add a special effect.
Cover the party table with a pink Barbie™ tablecloth or use a solid-colored pink or purple tablecloth.
Ensure that each place setting has a Barbie plate, napkin, cup, and utensils.
Place a vase of pink flowers as a centerpiece.
Enhance the centerpiece by adding any Barbie dolls your child may have, or use a Barbie centerpiece.
Cover the birthday child’s seat with a white sheet and tie a pink bow around it.
Cut several pieces of curling ribbon one to two feet long. Curl the ribbon by pulling it between your thumb and the blade of scissors. Spread the curls on your table.
Hang several balloons in bunches. For the best effect, tie a colorful ribbon around each bunch of balloons.
Attach Barbie streamers to a light fixture over the center of the party table to add to the festive environment.
Hang colored streamers to doorframes, so the guests get to walk through them.
Create multicolor streamers by placing two different colored streamers back-to-back and twisting them (try pink and white, or pink and purple).
Purchase pink poster board, cut it into rectangles, draw lines around the edges of the rectangles to make them look like windows, and use sticky tape to temporarily attach them to the walls of your party area.
Create a Barbie runway by wrapping pink cloth around cardboard. Elevate the runway by putting blocks or books underneath.
